Established in May 2000 and located at the Bohe Town of Dianbai County, one of the four major fishing ports in Guangdong Province, Maoming Longhai Jellyfish Group Co., Ltd. is a leading export-oriented agricultural enterprise, focusing on jellyfish fishing, purchasing, processing as well as domestic and international marketing.
The company currently has 5 salted jellyfish factory and 1 instant jellyfish factory, located in coastal areas around the town of Boho. Covering an area of 35 mu, with building area of 15,000 square meters and management personnel of 50, of which 60% receiving college education, employing 350 production coworkers, we are one of the top 50 private enterprises in Maoming city. As a registered exporting food enterprise from State Administration of Quality Inspection and Quarantine; we are the largest jellyfish manufacturer, exporter and supplier in the west of Guangdong costal areas.
The company has two brands: LONG BAO and KANG KOU FU.The two series of products, salted jellyfish and instant jellyfish,have all got the registration of Export Food Certification and QS Certification; In addition, in August 2009, We also won the ISO9001: 2000 International Quality System Certification and the title of " Famous Export Brand of Guangdong Province ".With the quality assurance and good service, our products are well received and sell well all over China as well as the United States, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong and the other international markets. In 2008, our total turnover rose to 50 million RMB, of which 5 million USD from export and 5 million RMB for tax.
In order to ensure the jellyfish production and sales, the company adopts a production mode of "enterprise +product base + fisher", signs fishing agreement with more than 300 fishermen, provides fishermen with services in production, marketing, tools, finance, technology, information, etc. These measures not only solve the sales problem after fishermen catching jellyfish, increase the income of fishermen, create more than 1,000 jobs, but also ensure jellyfish raw material production and sales.
For the sake of improving product recognition in the international and domestic market and achieving specialization, standardization and industrialization in management, we establish long-term friendly and cooperative relations with Light Industry and Food College of South China University. We can make full use of the university’s talent resources and mature production technology to rapidly turn scientific and technological achievements into productive forces. At the same time, in order to expand the production scale, to meet the market demand, and to improve product quality, the company has invested 8 million RMB on building the GMP production workshop of salted jellyfish and instant jellyfish, which is now under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of December 2009. With the GMP production workshop putting into operation, jellyfish production and sales will be greatly improved, so is the competitiveness of the LONGBAO and KANG KOU FU brand products in the domestic and international markets.
